ADKINS, William Henry Born 1860 Covington, Kentucky, died 1937 Minneapolis, Minnesota USA. Worked at 22 Kimball Building, Minneapolis from 1904. Moved to 205 South Street in 1934, but closed his shop in 1935. Subsequently worked briefly for B. A. Rose. Violins loosely derived from Stradivari and Guarneri models. Very neat workmanship. Only some 20 instruments made. Concentrated chiefly on restoration and repair work. W. H. Adkins, maker Minneapolis, Minn. No.178 1918.
