BOROWKA (BOROWIECKI), Franciszek Born 1886 Niwka, died 1962 Lublin Poland. Musician, cabinet maker and luthier, active from 1901 in Zawiercin, relocated in the same year to Lublin. Officially changed his name from Borowiecki to Borowka in 1925. Prizes awarded at Poznan 1936. Stradivari model. Completed over 60 violins, eight violas, 11 cellos, and two double basses.
