Rome. Born in Florence in 1869. His parents, descendants of a titled family, were from Venice. Rossi worked on the patterns of all the great masters, but his favourite model was Stradivari. He applied a rosy-yellow oil or spirit varnish of beautiful lustre. He was many times awarded prizes and other distinctions at various exhibitions for his careful workmanship. He used different labels.
