Joseph (I) Worked circa. 1782, died 1837. Son and pupil of Philipp Jacob Rieger, below. Slightly Italianised Tyrolean style, but not highly finished. Deep orange-red varnish. Manuscript label: Joseph Rieger Geigen- und / Violinmacher in Mittenwald / an der Iser 1827 Printed label: Joseph Rieger / Instrumentenmacher in Mittenwald / an der Isar. 1830.
