SANTO (SANTI), Giovanni Worked circa. 1700-1740 Naples Italy. Dictionaries describe small Amatisé model. Red varnish. Not presently known.

A maker in Naples, 1700-30. He generally copied Amati ; his violins are of a small pattern, fairly well made, with varnish of poor quality

Copied Amati. Varnish very hard, and workmanship indifferent.

Er ahmte Nic. Amati nach; seine Violinen haben kleines Modell und rothen Lack und sind nur von geringer Schönheit.

Amati style. Red varnish.

Naples. 1700—1740. Made instruments on the small pattern of N. Amati, of fairly good shape and finish and applied red varnish. Price ca 15.000 Kc.
