TURNER, William Worked circa. 1647-1656 London UK. Worked in Aldgate, London c.1650. Several fine viols extant in various collections. Most are distinguished by a heart-shaped rose in the table and single broad purflings. These characteristics also noted on viol by C. Wise and there may be a connection between the two makers.
