VIMERCATI, Gaspare Worked circa. 1770-1790 Milan Italy. Maker of plucked instruments. Some violins reported, of negligible significance. Worked at the sign ‘Della Luna’ in Contrada Dogana. Pietro Vimercati (Born 1778, died 1850), presumably his son, was a celebrated mandolin virtuoso contemporary with Paganini.
