WALLO, Joseph F. Born 1921 Schwarz Creek, Michigan USA. Son and pupil of John Joseph Wallo, above. Worked for Kagan & Gaines in Chicago from 1945, then for one year in Glen Allen, Virginia before settling in Washington D.C. 1949. Worked primarily on guitars there, but returned to violin making after moving to Arlington, Virginia 1981. 17 violins made on Andrea Guarneri and personal models. Spirit and later commercial Sevasta oil varnish; orange or red-brown. [Wenberg]
