WATSON, Thomas Kay Born 1883 Haddington, died 1950 Edinburgh, Scotland UK. Established in Edinburgh 1927-1948. Amateur maker. Decent workmanship on Stradivari-derived models. Varnish with proprietary Rushworth & Dreaper ‘Apollo’ or ‘Harris’ Amber Varnish. Local materials. Three violins of 1931, 1932, and 1948 decorated with scrolled purfling on the backs.
