WICKSTROM, Felix Born 1906 Bergsjo Sweden, died 1983 Flint, Michigan USA. Emigrated to the USA 1929. Initially employed as a metal worker in New York before moving to Flint as an automobile engineer. Took up violin making professionally 1967-1978. Certificates for tone awarded at the Violin Society of America Competition 1976. 45 violins, five violas, and six cellos on Stradivari-derived models with soft orange-brown varnish. [Wenberg]
