WILDMAN, Lucius Parmalee Born 1842, Worked circa. 1870-1920 Danbury, Connecticut USA. Estimable copyist of classical Cremonese and Brescian models. Also developed eccentric ideas of reviving viol-type ‘c’ soundholes and the ‘bird violin’ with a bird carved on top of the conventional scroll.
