John Dilworth
Rembert Born 1904 Cincinnati, Ohio, died 1963 New York USA. Son and pupil of Rudolph Wurlitzer, below. Also trained with James Carlisle, Dieudonné in Mirecourt, and in London with Alfred Hill c.1924-1930. Joined Rudolph Wurlitzer & Co. 1930. Established the violin department in New York 1938 which became known as the Rembert Wurlitzer Co., employing Simone Sacconi and many other highly-skilled makers and restorers. Highly esteemed and influential connoisseur and expert.
