WUTZELHOFFER (WUZELHOFER), Sebastian (II) Born 1754 Wöllensdorf Austria, died 1807 Brno Czech Republic. Son of Sebastian Wutzelhoffer (I), above. Came to Brno with his father c.1756-1757. Studied with J. J. Hentschel. Worked in Vienna 1770-1780, returning to Brno to take over Hentschel’s workshop at 6 Mecové ulici after his death in 1782. Distinctly Guarnerian model although with medium high arch and deep edge channel. Regarded as the best varnisher of the Brno school, with various shades of oil varnish.
