John Dilworth
DEVYLDER, Prosper Born 1908 Roubaix France. Apprenticed to Boulangeot in Brussels and worked for Auguste Falisse in the same city. Worked in collaboration with E. Slosse; instruments are labelled with both names. Retired from violin making c.1945. Very successful Stradivari and Guarneri models with good varnish, shaded red-brown on golden ground.
