Carl Friedrich Born 1783, died 1849. Son, pupil, and successor of Johann Christian Ficker (III), below. Admitted to the violin maker’s guild in 1806. Succeeded to his father’s business in 1822. Inexpensive trade quality instruments on the Stainer model. Dull red varnish of little substance. Branded internally: ‘C. F. F.’ [Hamma]
