HESKETT, Claude Lorraine Born 1869 Leroy, Illinois, died 1958 Glendale, California USA. Son and pupil of Harrison Heskett, below, in Minneapolis. Moved to Amaha, Nebraska 1907, then to Los Angeles 1918, and finally to Glendale 1933. Stradivari, Guarneri, and personal models with own oil varnish in golden brown shades. Sometimes used different local timbers. Completed about 125 violins. [Wenberg]
