Maker Overview
Life
French bow maker of the modern Mirecourt school. Great-grandson of Louis Morizot père and descendant of the Morizot family of archetiers. Trained at the Mirecourt school from 1974 and later established himself as an independent maker in southwest France. Produces violin, viola and cello bows in the classical French tradition, characterised by refined craftsmanship, good balance and clear tonal response. His work continues the Morizot family tradition of French bow making into the contemporary period.
