Maker Overview
Life
Louis Joseph trained in Mirecourt before working with Charles François Gand and J.-B. Vuillaume, later establishing his own workshop in 1862. Émile succeeded him and became a respected Parisian maker, producing instruments after classical Italian models, including Guarneri. The two are associated with finely crafted French instruments and careful restoration work.
