John Dilworth
MARTIN, Louis Born 1864 Mirecourt, died 1940 Angers France. Apprenticed as a bow maker to his father. Later trained as a violin maker with Deroux and Delinet. Worked for Mennesson in Rheims. Established independently in Angers from c.1884. Succeeded to the business of Mebzner-Leblanc. Fine professional work on Stradivari models. Louis Martin Angers. No. 18
