MARTINI, Oreste Born 1893, died 1957 Mantua Italy. Pupil of Scarampella. Medals awarded at Cremona, Padua, and Paris. Exhibited at Cremona 1937. Classical Italian models. Over 300 violins, 10 violas, 50 cellos, and 45 arched-back double basses. Red- or orange-brown varnish. Double bass at the Museo Stradivariano, Cremona.
