John Dilworth
MESSORI, Pietro Born 1870, died 1952 Modena Italy. Pupil of Giuseppe Sgarbi from 1893. Worked for Fiorini in Munich before returning to Modena. Awarded many medals and honours in Milan, Paris, Turin, St Louis (USA), and Geneva. Stradivari, Guarneri, and Amati models. Good workmanship. Red to golden-yellow amber varnish.
