MUSHKIN, Nicholas Michael Born 1914 Khabarovsk Russia, Worked from 1969 Las Vegas, Nevada USA. Emigrated to the USA with his family in 1923 and settled in Seattle, Washington. Amateur violin maker in San Francisco, California from 1934 while employed as a chemical engineer. Established a violin shop in Las Vegas, Nevada 1969. Guarneri model. Own tempera and commercial oil varnishes. Claimed to have made over 600 instruments but this is doubted. Inconsistent workmanship. [Wenberg]
