Arne Skoog
Maker Overview
Arne Skoog (1913–1999) was a Swedish violin maker and teacher based in Jämtland. Although best known professionally as an engineer at Radio Sweden and the founder of the long-running Sweden Calling DXers programme, he devoted his retirement to violin making, becoming a respected maker and instructor. He taught numerous courses in violin making and contributed to the continuation of the Swedish violin-making tradition through his work as both a craftsman and educator.
