Biographies
John Dilworth
Pierre Born 1893 Mirecourt, Worked circa. 1913-1955 Paris. Son and pupil of Victor Audinot, below. Awarded the prize as best young luthier in Mirecourt 1907 and 1908. Moved to Paris with his father 1913. Wounded in the First World War. Subsequently rejoined the family shop in rue Truffaut in Paris, but left in 1934 to join Millant-Deroux in rue de Rome. Diplomas awarded at the Hague 1949 and Liège 1954. Fine workmanship on classical models, although most of his time was devoted to restoration work and consequently his own label is rare.
