BARJONNET, Georges Émile Born 1903 Mirecourt, died 1987 Vittel France. Bow maker. Son of Jules Henri Barjonnet, below. Apprenticed at Cuniot-Hury and, up to 1937, assisted É. Ouchard and later his son, E. A. Ouchard. Established in Poussay, near Mirecourt, from 1940, and then employed by Thibouville-Lamy 1943-1969. From 1969-1980 worked with R. Gérôme making highly refined and richly mounted bows, a little heavy, but faithful to the Ouchard style. [Millant/Raffin]
