Later studied making with John Hitter in Dearborn and attended the International Violin Making School in Cremona for one year. Established in Lansing c.1953. Stradivari model with Michelman varnish. Prolific maker of violins, violas, cellos, and basses; also various plucked instruments. [Wenberg]
