BRANDINI, Jacopo Worked circa. 1765-1807 Pisa Italy. Rarely encountered maker. Very thin pale grey-yellow varnish. Amatisé model, somewhat in the Genoese manner. Small volute awkwardly placed on pegbox, broad chest with small, widely spaced soundholes. Henley cites examples with painted purfling on the table and carved decoration on the back.
