John Dilworth

CONN, C. G. Worked circa. 1912-1936 Elkhart, Indiana USA. Musical instrument factory founded by Charles Gerard Conn (1844-1931), originally Conn & Dupont 1876, specialising in brass and wind instruments. Largely machine-made violins produced 1912-1936. Several types catalogued: the prestige ‘Symphony’ Stradivari and the ‘Virtuoso’ Guarneri model, alongside cheaper student grade instruments under the titles ‘Orchestra’, ‘Standard’, ‘Commercial’, ‘Student’, and ‘Amateur’.
