EMBERGHER, (EMBERGER) Luigi Born 1895 Arpino, Frosninone, died 1943 Rome Italy. Cabinet maker and celebrated luthier, chiefly known for guitars and mandolins, but some violins recorded. Established in Rome from 1870. Teacher of D. Cerrone, who succeeded to his business 1938. Medals awarded in Vienna 1897, Turin 1898, Rome 1900 and 1903, Cettigne 1900 and Paris 1900, amongst several other honours and distinctions. Cav.
