ERICKSON, John H. Born 1893 Tibro Sweden, died 1975 Brunswick, Indiana USA. Emigrated to the USA 1911. Violin and bow maker, apprenticed to Walter Goss in Boston, Massachusetts until 1913 and worked for the Vega company making plucked instruments. Employed by William Lewis & Son in Chicago, Illinois from 1918. Latterly moved to Brunswick, Indiana to work independently. Made about 400 instruments. Branded internally and on the back of the pegbox: ‘Erickson’ [Wenberg]
