Fender is an American musical-instrument manufacturer founded by Leo Fender (1909–1991) in California.

Life
In addition to its famous electric guitars and basses, Fender produced steel guitars, acoustic guitars, amplifiers, mandolins, banjos, ukuleles, resonator guitars, and other folk instruments. Its acoustic range included models such as the Kingman, Concert, Malibu, Newporter, Shenandoah, Villager and Redondo, while its folk-instrument range included mandolins, banjos and ukuleles. Fender also produced an octave mandolin and a bouzouki.
