Gerald Littlewood
In addition to his work as a maker, Littlewood taught violin making to young musicians. Among his pupils was the British violin maker Alastair Wood, who built his first violin under Littlewood’s guidance while a student at Chetham’s School of Music. Littlewood’s encouragement helped inspire Wood’s subsequent career as a professional luthier.
