John Dilworth
HECKEL, Karl Willy Born 1898 Markneukirchen Germany, Worked from 1937 New York USA. Apprenticed to Heinrich Todt 1912-1915. Worked as his assistant until 1923, then moved to Kraslice (Graslitz) to work for A. K. Hüttl, in charge of varnishing. Established independently in Markneukirchen until emigrating to the USA 1929. Worked for W. Voigt in New York City, established his own business there in 1937. Classical models and fine workmanship. Both oil and spirit varnishes, light yellow to red-brown.
