John Dilworth

HENDERSON, Frank Vernon Born 1901 Warrick, Montana, Worked Seattle, Washington USA. Violin and bow maker since professional retirement 1978. Pupil of George Orth. Author of How to Make a Violin Bow (Seattle, 1977). Copies of the c.1668 Stradivari ‘Duke of Cambridge’ and 1741 Guarneri del Gesù ‘Jarnowich’ violins, the original instruments being in his own collection. 78 violins, nine violas, and six cellos completed. Own oil varnish of amber and red-brown colour. 185 bows completed, branded: F. V. HENDERSON [Wenberg]
