Paris, 1823–1870
Bow maker, active in Paris from 1837. Worked for Chanot, Peccatte, and from 1848, in partnership with P. Simon. Awarded a commendation at the 1849 Paris exhibition. Established independently from 1851 in rue des Vieux Augustins, from which period comes his most beautiful and elegant work. — John Dilworth

Many bows made for Gand frères. Round sticks, dark red-brown in colour. Branded: HENRY A PARIS, although most of his bows carry the brands of his employers.
