Biographies
John Dilworth
HJORTH, Emil Born 1840, died 1920 Copenhagen Denmark Son, pupil, and successor of Johannes Hjorth, below. Worked for Lembock in Vienna 1863, Bernadel in Paris 1864, and in London for two years. Instrument repairer to the royal orchestra in Denmark. Stradivari and Guarneri models, violins, violas, and cellos with fine oil varnish. Succeeded by his two sons, Othon and Knud.
