Andrea Hoffman-Simmel

Andrea Hoffman-Simmel is an American violin and viola maker trained at the Mittenwald School of Violin Making. She later worked in New York with Jacques Français and René Morel, specializing in restoration. The first woman to win a German violin-making competition (1987), she has also received awards from the Violin Society of America, and her instruments have been exhibited internationally.
