HUSSON, Auguste Born 1870 Mirecourt, died 1929 Paris France. Bow maker. Known as ‘Husson Mariet’. Son and pupil of Pierre, below. Took the title for his business from the family name of his wife, M. Mariet, who was undoubtedly highly involved in the workshop as many Mirecourt wives traditionally were. According to Vannes, worked briefly in England, but from 1910-1920 in Lyon and from 1925 in Alfortville, a southern suburb of Paris, at 71 Quai Blanqui. Having worked mainly for others, his own branded work is quite rare: HUSSON-MARIET [Millant/Raffin]
