KÖNIG, Frederick Morris (Moritz) Born 1866 Schöneck, Saxony Germany, Worked from 1890 New York USA. Pupil of his uncle Carl Neumärker. Worked for Gütter in Markneukirchen and Heckel in Dresden, where he also studied varnish making with Richard Weichold. Made his first violin in Berlin 1884. Moved to New York 1890 to work with Herman Konig, below, and with Peates' Music House in Utica 1920. Settled in the Bronx, New York 1925. About 200 instruments completed.
