LAUMANN, Robert Born 1870, died 1932 Budapest Hungary Pupil of Nandor. Worked for J. F. Schunda. Established independently in Budapest from 1895, initially in Elisabeth Circle, later at 25 Semmelweis Street. Medals awarded in Paris 1900, Budapest 1896, and Vienna. Assisted by Peter-Paul Beke and József Spitz. Fine Stradivari copies. Good clear varnish in red and yellow shades. Willibald Leo Lütgendorff+
Schüler von Ferd. Brückner, ging nach beendeter Lehrzeit, um sich weiter
auszubilden, für fünf Jahre nach Deutschland und begründete 1895 seine eigene
Werkstatt. Er arbeitet nur nach dem Stradivari-Modell und verwendet einen
gelben Öllack. Seine Arbeiten wurden in Budapest 1896 und auf der Pariser
Weltausstellung durch Medaillen ausgezeichnet.
