Cecie Stainer+

Worked in Paris at the sign ” a la Harpe royale ” from about 1745 ; he was still living in 1785. His instruments are rare and of not particularly good work, the varnish is of poor quality. Two violins are dated 1747 and 1754, a five-stringed viol in the Paris Conservatoire Collection is dated 1755, another 1757, and an alto also 1757.
