LINDEMAN, Jan Willem Born 1890, died 1971 Amsterdam Netherlands Self-taught violin and bow maker from 1913. Established professionally 1922. Ceased making new instruments after 1945 to concentrate on restoration. Succeeded by his son Frederick Jan Lindeman (Born 1932). Personal model with deeply cut scroll. Yellow and red varnishes.
