John Dilworth
MARKERT, John Conrad Born 1910, died 1969 New York USA. Pupil at the Mittenwald school. Worked for Glaesel in Berlin before returning to New York to work for his father John and uncle John Friedrich, above. Worked briefly for H. R. Knopf. Later established in association with F. W. Howard. About 100 violins, 25 violas, and 20 cellos. Classical Italian models with oil varnish. [Wenberg]
