Kurt Oswald Born 1903 Klingenthal, Worked from 1957 Owatonna, Minnesota USA. Son and pupil of Oswald Karl, below. Worked for Vedral in The Hague, Netherlands 1924-1925 before returning to Klingenthal to gain a teaching certificate. Taught at the school there 1928-1945. Subsequently employed as a repairer by Georg Winterling 1946 and then for Hess in Klingenthal. Emigrated to the USA 1954, working for Scherl & Roth in Cleveland, Ohio. Established his own business with his son Kurt Lothar, in Owatonna, Minnesota 1957. Retired 1965. Stradivari and Guarneri models. Also the Meisel family pattern. Oil varnish of his own making. Branded: ‘K. O. Meisel’
