John Dilworth

MOINEL, Daniel Born 1901 Paris France. Son and pupil of Charles Moinel, above. Apprenticed to his uncle L. Cherpitel in Mirecourt. Worked for his father Charles in Paris. Briefly employed by Maucotel and Deschamps c.1921, but returned to the family business before establishing himself independently in rue de Mesnil and subsequently 45 rue de Rome from 1934. Fine Stradivari and Guarneri models. Orange or red-brown varnish. Branded internally and occasionally externally on lower rib. Fait en 1948 / par Daniel Moinel / Luthier 45 Rue de Rome Paris
