Hans Nebel

Mittenwald

Hans J. Nebel is a German-American violin maker and restorer from Mittenwald. Trained at the Bavarian State School of Violin Making, he worked at the Rembert Wurlitzer shop in New York under Simone F. Sacconi before establishing his own workshop in New Jersey in 1974. Known for restoring fine instruments, including Stradivari and Guarneri, he has also taught internationally and helped found the American Federation of Violin & Bow Makers.
