John Dilworth
NICHOLSON, J. Worked circa. 1880 London UK. Doctor of medicine and amateur violin maker. Designed a new form of violin without soundpost with the assistance of George Chanot; described in his pamphlet Designs and Plans for the Construction and Arrangements of the New Model Violin (H. K. Lewis, London, 1880).
