John Dilworth
OSTERTAG, George A. b. Augsburg, Worked circa. 1890-1930 Germany. Apprenticed to Franz Kerschensteiner. Worked in England, Scotland, and Hamburg before moving to the USA 1898. Employed by the Pepin Perfect Tone Violin Co. in Chicago. Later established there independently 1915-1922 on Van Buren Street. Returned to Germany c.1923. Chiefly occupied with repairs. No new work recorded.
