Biographies
John Dilworth
PANORMO, George Born 1776, died 1852 London UK. Third son of Vincenzo Panormo, below. Worked with his younger brother Louis, below, in Bloomsbury, London from 1848. Also seems to have worked briefly for the Banks brothers in Liverpool, from the evidence of a cello dated 1736 with his label. Work is otherwise seldom labelled or easily identified. Of good professional quality, it is possibly of generally slightly lower standard than that of other makers of his family. Golden-yellow varnish. George Panormo Filius Vincent Panormo Londoniensis 1836 [BVMA]
