John Dilworth

PLUMEREL, Charles (I) Worked circa. 1828-1865 Marseilles France. Relationship to Charles Plumerel (II) below unclear. Worked for Daniel in Marseilles. Produced some violins there, signed internally. Established in Capalette, Marseilles. Well-made instruments in the Mirecourt style. Large flat model with golden-yellow varnish. Sometimes branded. Manuscript label: Fait par Plumerel à la Capalette / près de Marseille, en 1863
